Disc golf tips and advicePracticing and stretching are a foundation to a successful round of
golf……… a frustrating round creates indecision and a lack of confidence.
Confidence is the key to scoring low

I got plenty of stories, but one around my current passion for growing
the sport was back in 2003 after the Paul Giles Memorial (great guy) in
Athens TX. I was enjoying a cold frost one with some of the players and
included in this group were two ladies. Ginneta Chamberlin and Julie
Steal. They were basically bitching about how the lady players were over
looked and felt that disc golf as a whole did not recognize female
players. Well I went on to say that they were playing in a man’s
tournament. Of course that went over well but I then said that ladies needed
their own tournaments. This was a catalyst for the challenge laid out
to me by two very………let’s say passionate ladies to run a ladies only
event. From this conversation, the Texas Women’s Championship was born in 2005 and as of last year, it was the largest attended women’s event in
PDGA history.

Team Vibram Wins! | Dana Vicich wins at the Sinnissippi Open and the Morton Pumpkin Festival. He left me with a wonderful insight: "Disc golf is cool."
Vinnie Miller takes down a crowd of young guns nipping at his heels and wins the Live Oak Summer Open and the Fly Ink Sizzler, where he shoots a 1069 rated 14 under par. Mitch Sonderfan plays "the best tournament I've ever played, start to finish" and wins at the Johnny Roberts Memorial. Ross Brandt wins The Lake Superior Open at the Mont Du Lac Ski Resort, a true north woods paradise. Nice shooting Ross! |

3/6/11 - Vinnie Miller may be old, but the boy can still throw.
Lion's Den results.
After a lackluster first round, Vinnie found himself two shots out of the lead. He responded with a 1000+ rated round and shot the best second round in the tourney, winning Masters by five. Vinnie, makin' us proud.
