TIM'S FAVORITES
FAVORITE VIBRAM STORY: My favorite Vibram DG Story is when my son Liam helped me to victory during the 2008 Vibram Open putting Slam tournament.
Three Favorite Vibram Discs
Lace - The Lace is my new fave, the glide on the end of the flight always surprises me.
Obex - Didn't even get a chance to throw the Obex until about 4 months ago. Quickly worked itself into my bag for it's reliability and stability. Summit - I have a few summits in the bag for putting of course, but with the lightest one I can create quite controllable turnover approach shot. |
Favorite Courses:
North Calais, VT Maple Hill, MA Borderlands, MA Favorite Tournaments: Vibram Open Lincoln Peak NH States Disc Golf Tips: Practice and play catch more than you play rounds. Cheer and root for fellow players, it will come back to you. However challenging a thought, I believe I am always beating the course not the individual. Make time to enjoy the beauty of the flight of a well thrown disc. Breathe. |
ADVICE FROM A PRO
Don't underestimate a good game of catch with your putter. A half hour of catch from 100 feet to 250 feet will afford you significantly more practice throws than a round of golf.
GETTING THE JOB DONE - THE VIBRAM WAY
Tim Walsh wins the Borderland Spring Fling
6/23/12 - Tim Walsh managed to beat a very talented field at the Borderland Spring Fling. The BSF is a Vibram Open Qualifier and brought out the best of the best from New England. After shooting a 1000 rated first round - and trailing by four - Tim nailed a 1040 rated 59 in the 2nd round to take the lead and never looked back. This was Tim's second win at the BSF. Well done Tim!

Tim Walsh wins Disc Jam
6/19/11 - After being up by two strokes going into the final round, Team Vibram's Tim Walsh stepped up to the plate and accepted the challenge of holding off his competitors. Not only did Tim succeed in securing the victory, he did so with a new course record at the Hyland Orchard course.

Tim Walsh - Disc Jam Champion
Don Boutin - Course designer and inspiration
Thanks to Tony Scavone for putting on a heck of a show. It looked like the hundreds (or was it thousands) of attendees had a great time.
Can't wait to see the Disc Jam 2012 style!

Vibram Disc Golf goes 1, 2 at Pinnacle, NH
5/1/11 - Team Vibram's Tim Walsh won the Pinnacle Spring Run-Off held at Pinnacle Peak in Newport, NH. Tim and two others were tied for the lead (shooting 57s) going into the second round, when Tim exploded with a course record 54.
Nice shooting Timmay!
Jerel Davis, also of Team Vibram, carded second place giving Team Vibram a one-two punch at Pinnacle.

Tim Walsh and Whitey heat it up!2/5/11 - The West Thompson Ice Bowl (raising money for the Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group) was the scene of the most recent Team Vibram victory. Team Vibram's Tim Walsh joined forces with Whitey (Justin White to his mom) and won in a one hole playoff against Rob Tatro and Billy Dunne.
TD Steve Dakai said that Rick Rothstein thinks they might have broken a record for number of inches of snow on the ground during an ice bowl. With parts of Connecticut getting over five feet of snow (so far) in 2011, I don't doubt it! Nice win Timmmay! |
