The Lace is Vibram Disc Golf's first long distance driver. It is a very fast and stable long distance driver. It is beefy enough to handle the wind and yet does not need insane power to get way down the fairway. The Lace is like a faster Trak with a ton more glide thrown in as a bonus.

What is the meaning behind the name?

There was much animated discussion about the name of our first long range driver. The name Lace, which was favored by Steve Dodge, always caught people's attention and once they learned the multiple meanings and reasons for the name, they generally climbed on board the Lace bandwagon. We hope you do too.
  • Vibram is predominantly a shoe sole company. Lace is a part of a shoe, so it fits with Vibram's heritage. And no, our next disc will not be the Tongue or Eyelet!
  • Lace: A common disc golf term for a shot that goes straight and far. This disc fits that bill to a tee. This is a manly, strong term.
  • Lace has a feminine side and we want the ladies to feel comfortable and happy with their new long range driver.
  • Lace has the word ACE in it, which will make for many wonderful rhymes as people ace 400+ foot holes with their new Lace.
